TOGETHER FOR HEALTH

Questions and answers

1. How often should you get a masssage?

The frequency of massages depends on the individual needs and goals of each client. In general, for maintaining overall well-being and prevention of muscle tension, it is recommended to have a massage at least once a month.

How often do I need a massage?

This depends on your health condition, lifestyle, and specific goals. If you experience chronic pain or tension, more frequent massages may be necessary. Consultation with your massage therapist will help to determine the optimal massage frequency for your individual needs.

Is too frequent massage harmful?

Yes, too frequent massages can lead to muscle overuse. The optimal frequency for most clients is typically once to four times a month. Some therapeutic massages may require more frequent visits, but the individual body's response should always be respected.

What if I have acute pain or need quick relief?

In the case of acute pain or the need for rapid relief, it may be suitable to shorten the interval between massages. Discuss this situation with our massage therapist, who can recommend the most appropriate treatment plan for you.

2. What should I bring to the massage?

We appreciate your visit and want you to fully enjoy your massage therapy. If you're coming for the first time, here are a few recommendations:

  1. You don't need to bring anything for the massage. We have a sheet and towel ready for you to use as coverings.

  2. Remove jewelry: It's necessary to remove any necklaces, bracelets, and watches just before the massage.

  3. Secure your hair: If you have long hair, it's recommended to tie it up in a bun or ponytail to facilitate the massage of the head, neck, and back.

  4. Personal hygiene: Before the massage, it's always advisable to maintain personal hygiene. Body cleanliness contributes to overall comfort during the massage.

  5. Health status disclosure: Before the massage, please inform us of any health issues or special requests.

  6. Mobile phones and disturbances: It's recommended to turn off mobile phones or switch them to silent mode.

Thank you for following these guidelines. If you have any further questions or need additional information, please don't hesitate to contact me. We look forward to seeing you!

3. What about illness and understanding contraindications?

In cases of acute or chronic illnesses, it's important to consider contraindications, which are conditions under which massage should be restricted or even avoided. Below are some useful tips:

1. When and how to communicate about health status?

Please inform me about your current health status before the massage. Let me know about any changes since your last visit.

2. What about chronic illnesses?

- Consultation with a specialist: For ongoing health issues or chronic illnesses, it's recommended to consult with a doctor or physiotherapist before the massage. The specialist can provide recommendations regarding the suitability of the massage.

- Individual plan: I will create an individual massage plan for you, taking into account the specifics of your illness. Some massage techniques may be adjusted or customized to meet your needs.

3. What to do in case of an acute condition (cold, fever, cough, etc.)?

- Refusal of massage: In cases of current infections such as colds, fever, cough, etc., it's recommended to postpone the massage and seek medical help. The body needs time to recover, and a massage at this stage could worsen the situation.

4. What are the general and specific contraindications?

- The studio's website contains a list of general contraindications related to various types of massages. These rules are established with the safety and comfort of our clients in mind.

2. Therapy Personalization

Based on your consultation, the therapist will create a personalized therapy plan tailored to your individual needs.

3. Space Preparation:

The therapist will explain the procedure, and you can choose the scent of massage oil, lighting level, and music according to your preferences.

4. Massage Process:

The therapist will gradually work on your body, using various techniques and pressures based on the type of massage you've chosen.

Throughout the massage, the therapist always strives to maintain communication with you to ensure your comfort. If you have any comments or requested changes during the massage, please let them know immediately.

5. Use of Oils and Aromatherapy:

Some massages may include the use of special oils or aromatherapy to enhance the relaxation effect. If you have allergies or prefer specific scents, inform the therapist in advance.

5. What if I´ m nervous or embarrassed?

Yes, many people experience similar feelings before a massage. It's important to realize that the therapist approaches their work professionally with respect for the client and without any judgment in this area. Their goal is to provide you with a safe and discreet environment. The aim of the massage is to have a therapeutic effect while also being a pleasant and calming experience for the client.

6. What if I can´ t make it to the scheduled appointment or I´ m running late?

If you can't make it to your scheduled massage appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancelling at least 24 hours in advance allows us to accommodate other clients and avoid unplanned delays.

How can I cancel or reschedule my massage appointment?

You can cancel or reschedule your appointment through our booking system, via email, or by contacting the therapist by phone. If possible, please do so with sufficient notice so we can better plan our schedule.

Is there a cancellation fee for late cancellations?

For cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or for no-shows, a cancellation fee will be applied. This fee is implemented to account for the therapist's time and potential losses due to an unfilled appointment slot.

Cancellations or changes to appointments are subject to our terms and conditions. Thank you for your understanding.

7. What to do and not to do before and after massages?

Before the massage:

If possible, take a warm shower to relax and allow massage oils to absorb better. Avoid eating heavy and fatty foods right before the massage, and leave at least an hour between your meal and the massage. Refrain from using perfume or strong scents that could disrupt the relaxing atmosphere. It's also advisable to inform the therapist in advance about any health issues or allergies.

After the massage:

After the massage, give yourself time to relax. Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during the massage. Avoid heavy meals and alcohol, and try to steer clear of strenuous physical activities. Also, avoid hot baths, saunas, or intense exercise immediately after the massage.

What to do if I experience pain or discomfort after the massage?

It's common to experience mild pain or discomfort after a massage, especially if it targeted problem areas. This should subside soon. However, if it persists or is more intense, contact your therapist.

These guidelines are general and may vary depending on the type of massage and individual client needs. It's always good to discuss any specific requirements or concerns with the therapist before and after the massage.
